Eventful; The Wedding Professionals

I met Claire and Roy at a Wedding Fair a while back, I was drawn to their stand by their gorgeous acrylic Table Plan. It was totally different to what I’d seen at other local fairs and reminded me of something from Pinterest! I was amazed to find out that Roy made the beautiful frame and couldn’t believe how many amazing wedding related products that they have at Eventful.

I knew of Eventful and had always associated them with Wedding Stationery mostly, so when they invited me to visit their showroom in Ramelton Co. Donegal to learn more about their Wedding Products and services I jumped at the chance! Most wedding suppliers are self-employed and work extremely long hours, Claire and Roy are no exception to this. When you are talking to them you instantly get the feeling that they love what they do, they really want to make your wedding day special and they care about all the little details.

Their beautiful showroom is beside their home in Ramelton, just 10 minutes from Letterkenny. In the era of shopping for everything online, it was so nice to walk into the showroom and see their products on display – there’s nothing like seeing it in person to give you a feel for what it would be like on your day and having the expertise of Claire and Roy there to talk you through your options is a must. They service 100’s of weddings every year and have amazing ideas for how to make your wedding unique and a little different.

Having won The Irish Wedding Awards Stationery Supplier of the year for 2017 & 2018, Eventful have been in demand and are now the go-to supplier in the North West for your wedding invites. They have a fabulous portfolio to suit all themes and budgets and are keen to work with each couple to create a design that suits them, there is literally nothing they can’t do! My favourite invite sample was the Wonka Chocolate Bar – who wouldn’t love getting that in the post as a wedding invite!

One wedding trend that is around to stay well into 2019 is the use of Fairy light curtains and backdrops to transform a space. The soft lighting instantly adds a romantic feel, not to mention how flattering the lighting is for photos! Eventful have a fab selection of backdrops, which I didn’t realise before I met Claire and Roy. They have been quietly adding finishing touches to venues around the North West for years and have become experts. If you asked me about one décor item that is a must for your wedding, then Id invest in a backdrop for your reception room as you will get the most use from it and it really adds a lovely ambiance to any room.

Unless you have been living under a rock this year you will certainly have seen Eventful’s fabulous Wedding Cake Swing! This is another one of Roy’s bespoke creations and I love it, the simplicity of the design means its easily adaptable to any theme and it keeps your Wedding Cake as the central focus. The Cake Swing also matches my favourite Table Plan and if I was doing the whole getting married again thing then I’d have these – trust me there was nothing like these 10 years ago when I got married!

You’d think that would be enough – eh no! Roy and Claire and have some amazing ideas for new products in 2019 and in true Eventful style they are a step ahead and looking to create bespoke products that you won’t see anywhere else – watch this space, I promise it’s worth the wait! Having been shortlisted in the Irish Wedding Awards 2019 in 2 categories (Stationery and Décor) then I’m sure that we are going to be hearing a lot more about Eventful in the future.
