Chloe & Rob 30.06.2017
Sometimes while you’re scrolling through the internet you come across an image that makes you feel a little fuzzy inside, even though you don’t know the people in the photo! This happened to me a few weeks ago when I came across a photo of Chloe and Rob on their Wedding Day. The sheer happiness shone through and I instantly contacted Chloe to ask her to allow me to feature the story of her and Robs big day on Team Bride, which thankfully she agreed to!
I just knew there would be an emotional story behind this fabulous couple. Having been friends since their early teens, Chloe never imagined that she would end up marrying Rob but when Chloe’s Dad passed away, it was Rob who was there for her and their relationship blossomed from there.
After 8 years together, Rob planned to propose to Chloe while holidaying with his family at their Cabin in Wisconsin. Robs Mum carried the fabulous diamond ring so that Chloe wouldn’t find it. Poor Robs nerves where shot as he waited for the right moment to ask the big question (A friend pipped him to the post by also getting engaged leaving Rob to wait a few extra days!). The perfect moment came along one quiet Sunday afternoon when Rob asked Chloe to go for a walk to the Pier by the lake where he got down on one knee with his aunt there to catch the special moment on camera to cherish forever <3
Chloe and Rob planned a relaxing, laid back wedding where the focus was on celebrating family and friends and savouring every moment of their special day. Chloe wore a fabulous dress from Folkster with amazing 3D floral detailing throughout and a beautifully romantic tulle A-line skirt. Her bridesmaids wore pretty powder blue knee length dresses from Chi Chi London which worked beautifully with the stunning bouquets from VP Flowers! Chloe and her girls looked amazing with a little help from their glam squad – Chloe Boucher, Ellen Petticrew & Martina King.
Following an emotional ceremony at Church of St Alphonsus Liguori, Kilskyre, Co. Meath the couple where enjoyed by their guests at the gorgeous Clonabreany House. The laid-back vibe was set off by colourful lanterns, balloons and décor and an amazing black & white checked dance floor which didn’t empty all evening.
With music playing a huge part in the celebrations the couple were surprised by a live saxophone player during the DJ set – a thoughtful gift from Chloes Mum and sisters. As with any Wedding Day it was hard for the couple to pin point one highlight but one moment that will stay with the couple forever is when their band joined them on the dance floor with a ukulele and sang “Can’t help falling in love” acoustic and everyone gathered around and sang along, it was magical!
With the day now over Chloes advice to Brides to be is ‘Take a couple of minutes to sit back and watch your guests enjoy themselves, it’s a cool moment to see everyone having a great time after all of the planning!’
Thank you, Chloe & Rob, for sharing your beautiful wedding with Team Bride x
